What is the difference between Zigbee and Matter?
Zigbee is a mesh radio protocol; Matter is an application-layer standard that can run over Zigbee/Thread/WiFi and adds universal interoperability across Apple Home, Alexa and Google Home.
Should I choose wired or wireless automation?
Wireless (Zigbee/Matter) suits retrofits and phased upgrades. Wired (DALI/PLC) suits new-builds and commercial projects that need deterministic, industrial-grade reliability.
Do I need a gateway?
Zigbee and Matter-over-Thread devices need a hub/gateway to bridge to your WiFi network and app. We include the right gateway in your system design.
Can existing homes be automated?
Yes — most of our residential projects are retrofits. We assess your existing wiring and switches during the site survey.
Can I automate in phases?
Yes. We design the full system upfront so you can start with one room or one discipline (e.g. lighting) and expand later without rework.
Do you offer AMC?
Yes, we offer annual maintenance contracts with remote and on-site support for all systems we install.
Can Kerr automate only lighting, without curtains or climate?
Yes — every discipline (lighting, curtains, climate, networking) can be commissioned independently or together.
